Get to Know Me
The Author
Pablo Valente was born in La Plata, Argentina. He played rugby at Club San Luis, badly, but enthusiastically; graduated in International Business and left for Europe in the late '80s with basic English and a suitcase, landed in Amsterdam, and the adventures began.
After travelling and working across Europe, he began his formal career at The Ritz-Carlton. With a Master from ESADE in Barcelona and Executive Education in Sales & Marketing at Cornell, he took his knowledge to other prestigious brands. Led pre-openings. Turned around failing F&B operations. Rebuilt teams under pressure. Stabilised businesses while lifting profits, without the guests ever realising how close the whole thing was to falling apart.
He also teaches Hospitality leadership and F&B Management at Barcelona Executive Business School, where he was awarded Lecturer of the Year three times in a row, and Le Cordon Bleu in London.
Pablo lives with his family in Kent, UK and serves as Director of Food & Beverage at The In & Out, one of London's most prestigious private members' clubs.
